Autumn and Gavin actually met in first grade, Palms Elementary. They had been good buddies throughout grade school and remained friends through college. When Autumn returned home from her undergraduate studies, Gavin offered Autumn the opportunity to reconnect through Rock climbing and a quick bite to eat. They never made it rock climbing because it turns out the conversation was just too good. A couple of dates later, they were smitten and going steady.

At 4 years, Gavin asked Autumn to marry him at their spot in Tahquamenon Falls, and it was the easiest and happiest yes she could have said.
